Edward Hedger specialises in public finance, multilateral financing, international relations, and public sector reform. He is a convener of the Global Public Finance Lab.

He serves as International Delegate on the Somalia Financial Governance Committee, a high-level government advisory body on fiscal and financial sector issues.

He was formerly Managing Director and Executive Director at ODI Global, Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Global Development, Senior Adviser with the Wagner School of Public Service at New York University, and Senior Adviser to the High-Level Steering Committee for Global Education.

He has written and advised extensively on public finance, especially in emerging economies and fragile states.

His advisory portfolio includes Board-level strategy and governance reviews for international/multilateral organisations.
